Are you looking for where to stay in Anaheim? Then check out this Anaheim hotel review.

Why Visit Anaheim?

I know, with famous cities in California such as Los Angeles, San Francisco, and San Diego, you might not have even heard of Anaheim.

That is, unless you are a Disney fan!

Anaheim, located between Los Angeles and San Diego, is home to Disneyland and for anyone wanting to visit Disneyland, this is the place to stay.

But, Anaheim has quite a bit more to offer than just Disneyland.

Anaheim is also well known for Angels Baseball, Anaheim Ducks hockey, and mega events at the Anaheim Convention Center.

And with celebrated restaurants, award-winning local craft breweries, specialty shops, museums, top entertainment, and a wide range of outdoor recreation it’s not difficult to find something different to do during each day of your stay in this beautiful Californian city.

My personal favorite is the Anaheim Packing House. Built in 1919 and originally the Sunkist Orange Packing House, the building served as the hub where fresh citrus arrived from local farms to be packed and shipped.

Now, fully restored and renovated, it is an upscale food court with over 20 vendors.

Are you looking for a hotel within walking distance from Disneyland? Then you have found your hotel!

This modern hotel offers a very comfortable stay and saves you the hassle, time and expense of having to drive to Disneyland in the morning.

I love their spacious rooms with spa-inspired bathrooms, and their complimentary hot breakfast is praised by many.

Plus, apart from being within walking distance from Disneyland, it is also across the street from the Anaheim GardenWalk and the House of Blues.

And if you prefer not to walk, there is also a bus stop right in front of the hotel that takes you to Disneyland.

Some of the hotel features worth mentioning:

  • A 174-room hotel.
  • Spacious, comfortable rooms.
  • Modern interiors with stylish furnishings.
  • Bar serving spirits, wine, beer, and lite menu fare.
  • Free Wi-Fi.
  • 24-hour fitness center.
  • Large outdoor patio with pool and whirlpool.
  • Great view of Disneyland’s fireworks.

Comfort, a great location, good value… What more do you want?

  1. I’m most excited about the fact that Disneyland is just walking distance PLUS there’s complimentary hot breakfast PLUS there’s an Outdoor Heated Pool and Whirlpool Tub!

  2. This hotel sounds like it has everything I would need to make a visit to Disneyland comfortable, convenient, and to keep my little one entertained when I need some down time. As a single mom with a disability, the idea of taking my child to Disneyland alone is a very daunting one- though I’ve always wanted to do it for her. I’d feel much more comfortable taking her knowing that everything was easily accessible and purchasable from the hotel, that kids activities were available and the idea of watching the fireworks from the hotel at the end of what would definitely be an exhausting day for me sounds ideal! This would be a godsend. Crossing my fingers and toes.

  4. Looks like a really luxurious hotel. Love the way you have put it all together in a single slide show. Would enter if someone can sponsor my tickets….sigh!.

  6. I love that there is a free breakfast! It relieves some stress in the morning being able to head down and grab food. Everyone can pick and choose what they want and it’s just so convenient.

  8. I have to say my favorite feature is the hotels location being within walking distance of Disneyland’s main gates. My husband and I are roller coaster fanatics and we haven’t been to Disneyland yet! This would enable us to spend a few days in the park with periodic breaks in our room and not have to worry about parking. How cool!

  13. Now this sounds amazing! I have never been to Disneyland and as a kid at heart, I would love to do so one day. Why not stay in the Country Inn while doing so! It looks and sounds amazing from what you described and being able to see the fireworks from there is an added bonus! Is the giveaway open to everyone or just US residents?

  15. I love a FREE great, extensive breakfast with lots of choices. You know, one of those massive buffets (so you have no idea where to start!) with 5 kinds of eggs, bacon, all kinds of cereal (even though I don’t eat the stuff), scones, muffins, 10 types of bread en all the cheese (real kind, please) and meats to enjoy! And the best….desserts for breakfast!

The location of this hotel is also great….such close proximity to Disneyland and other attractions.

  16. Love that breakfast is included. This is so important when you are traveling with kids. I wont stay anywhere unless breakfast is available.

  17. That hotel looks perfect in order to see Disney or that packing house. I’d dig that. I think the modern ambiance of the hotel goes along very well aesthetically with the white historic accents of the packing house so they’d be a good thing to juxtapose together. Beautiful. I’d stay there for sure!

  18. As an Interior Designer, I love the design of the Anaheim Packing House!! Country Inn Suites seems to offer a lot with a perfect location. Good luck to all the participants!

  20. I’m from Florida so of course I love any water, love the pool. Also, being from Florida I’ve only been to the Orlando Disney, being that close to the CA Disney I would have no excuse not to go!

  21. 174 rooms is a big number. With modern and stylish furnishings I can imagine what the pleasure of staying at such a place could be like. Free wifi and view of Disneyland fireworks sound like cherries on top. Wish it could have been some offer than I could have availed 🙁 Nevertheless very well written review.

  24. Ok, I have been to Anaheim. In 2004, I got a tour of the Angels baseball stadium. When I think of Anaheim, the first thing that comes to mind is a Slayer show I have from there from the deluxe edition of SOUNDTRACK TO THE APOCALYPSE!

  25. I love rooms with spa inspired bathrooms and also within walking distance of Disneyland just makes everything perfect!

  26. Maybe it is just me, but those FREE Cookies & Coffee ALL DAY! def wins me over!! Keep’m comin’!!

Guess it is also extremely cool that you can watch the Disney Fireworks from the comfort of the hot, hot, hot-tub and heated outdoor pool!

  27. I love the outdoor heated pool and hottub. Most hotels offer a pool but when it is not comfortable to take a plonge, I don’t find that added value. Love to go for a swim in a warm pool!

  28. Considering the winter storm that we had move in last night here in Utah, I do have to say that the heated outdoor pool sounds A-freaking-MAZING. And then on top of that you throw a whirlpool in there? YES PLEASE. There’s nothing more satisfying than soaking somewhere terrifically warm while all your friends back home are huddled around a pitifully insufficient space heater at the office.

Oh and don’t even get me started on the 24-hour gyms. I’m one of those freaks of nature that other people shrug their shoulders at with curious wide-eyed bewilderment when they get up for a late night ice run and see that someone is actually crazy enough to be hitting the treadmill and weights at 1 am. Gyms or hotels whose rooms close at 10 pm come with such bitter disappointment that in order to manage my tears of sorrow and rage I would need to head over to Country Inn and Suites to run it off on the treadmill.

Okay, and one more thing. Free breakfast!!?! And from the looks of it Country Inn’s free breakfast isn’t your run of the mill stale cereal, cheap ass muffins, and such watered down OJ that it makes you wonder if the OJ was obtained from an orange that died of drowning and then was doused with more water to hide the taste. No, no. This looks like quality, folks. Your entire day is way better after having a legitimate breakfast of champions. Especially after a 1 am run and receiving hate mail from all your jealous frozen coworkers. +50 points to Gryffindor. Er… I mean, Country Inn and Suites.
